 Chris has been a member of the Spokane community since 1973. He attended Spokane Falls Community College and Eastern Washington University to receive his B.S. in Human Biology.
Initially, Dr. Valley pursued a conventional medical degree. But after working eight years at Sacred Heart Medical Center, he decided there must be more to healthcare than just the linear allopathic approach. This revelation led him to pursue a career in naturopathic medicine. He received his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2004. He has worked with Dr. William Corell since September 2004.
Dr. Valley's approach is to go beyond the relief of symptoms and discover the cause of health imbalance. His specialties include metabolic medicine (e.g. thyroid, adrenal, blood sugar balancing), sports medicine (for the weekend warrior to the ultra athlete), and inflammatory disorders. His fundamental belief is in the integration of well-studied natural medicine with western allopathic medicine. He believes in using all tools available to patients, including clinical nutrition, medical supplements, lifestyle counseling, and sometimes medications. His specialties include Metabolic medicine, Sports Medicine, Inflammatory disorders, and Hormone Management.
Chris's outside interests include his family, hiking, running, camping, reading, and music.
