 Jari Serra was raised with an emphasis on natural medicine, yoga and nutrition. Even before college, she was co-owner in one of Oregon’s first natural foods restaurants. She graduated In 1977 from Oregon State University with a B.S. in dietetics and interned at Oregon Health Sciences University. In college, and since the beginning of her career, Jari has specialized in combining mainstream and alternative approaches to nutrition.
In private practice since 1984, Jari counsels patients in the use of a variety of healthy diets, quality supplements, bodywork and exercise, and stress reduction tools. She individualizes diets, supplement plans and nutritional treatments to suit both a person's health recovery and unique lifestyle. She is knowledgeable in blood sugar control, weight reduction, detoxification, digestive imbalances, allergies and bone rebuilding, among other conditions. Through the use of diet and supplements, her goal is to help patients and clients to heal or improve all kinds of conditions.
As a public speaker since age 20 and a long-time teacher, Jari’s education efforts have included weekly radio call-in shows in Seattle and Spokane. She is available for talks, free of charge, to local organizations, churches and other venues.
Jari enjoys writing, reading, studying physical and spiritual healing systems, regular swimming and occasional hiking.
